Chapter 7
They had a small break before P.E but Steve would always go to the locker rooms early and get in a little basketball practice during break, right now he wanted to play more than ever. A mix of emotions were coiled up within him and he just needed some sort of outlet.
Tony opened his mouth to answer, but the bell ring went off. Before he managed to blink, Steve was already out of his seat and was heading outside the class. He sighed and slowly packed his books away, heading outside to find Pepper waiting for him once again.
“Can we just go somewhere to sit down?” he asked her looking around.
“Sure, we can just go outside if you want to”, Pepper suggested while examining Tony’s face; he seemed troubled.
They both walked together without saying anything. Tony was still thinking about everything that had happened so far. Steve was a strange person, not in a bad sense though. He had his own personality and it was exactly that, that made him differ from the other people Tony met so far.
“Is everything okay?” Pepper asked for the second time that day.
Tony snapped out of his thoughts. “Oh? Yeah, everything’s fine, I just have P.E. next and you know how I feel about sports.”
Pepper nodded and looked away. Sometimes Tony was hard to deal with. He wasn’t anti-social, but he lacked some basic human contact rules.

Steve, meanwhile, was already in the locker room, unbuttoning his shirt and putting on a basketball vest, though he knew he’d have to get changed again after break into his football gear. Eventually he walked out onto the court but as he tried to clear his mind, all he could think of was Tony. He had judged him at first, yes. It was odd because he usually would approach people with open minds, but it was difficult to, considering the reputation that Tony had. Steve didn’t know how Tony had managed to get into his mind so quickly. It’s not that he annoyed him, it’s just that the boy didn’t seem to know how to interact with others, he seemed socially inept to say the least, and considering the boy had a reputation with women Steve would’ve thought that he would know how to get along with people, or have some sort of charm about him. But perhaps for now, Steve had yet to see it. He just saw a boy that was awkward around him and challenged him, and yet, insulted him and complemented him at the same time. He didn’t know how to feel, and it was all so confusing to say the least.
He stood in front of the net, jumping as he chucked a ball into it with such perfect form. It could be better though, if only he could clear his mind.

“Hey Tony? You have less than ten minutes left before the break ends”, Pepper said awkwardly. She didn’t want to interrupt Tony who seemed really lost in his thoughts.
Tony didn’t say anything, he just picked up his bag and nodded. “I’ll see you later”, he muttered and started walking towards the gym. By the time he got there, he heard noises coming from the entrance and peeked in, worried that the class already started.
The only person inside was Steve. He had his back turned, and at that point, Tony could examine his beautifully shaped back. He had already changed clothes and he looked damn good in them. Tony flushed a bit and looked away, heading for the locker room. He preferred to change earlier, before the other boys were there. He closed the door and it made a loud noise, hoping that Steve didn’t realize he was already there.
The captains head darted in the direction of the sound and he grabbed the ball in his hand, walking toward the shut door - which was by the locker room. Placing the ball on the rack, he walked into the changing rooms to see a paled skin individual in front of him; his skin was flawless and he had slender muscles. Steve’s blue eyes were fixated oh thee subtle definition of them, trying not to stare as he managed to snap himself out of it.
Tony was just removing his pants when he realized that someone else stepped into the room. He turned around slowly praying that a specific someone wasn’t there. And he was. He cleared his throat. “Can I help you?”, he asked, grabbing his football shorts and putting them on quickly.
Steve also cleared his throat and turned his head, “I heard someone in here, I wasn’t expecting anyone to come in early…” He said, trying to hide the light blush that graced his face.
“Well yeah, I’m changing, do you mind?”, Tony asked while taking off his shirt. He did notice that Steve blushed a bit, and he tried not to show that this pleased him.
“This is a public locker room, I’ve gotta change for football too.” He said, walking over to his locker and pulling out his bag, keeping his head lowered. He could feel nothing but embarrassment but his eyes kept wondering back up to Tony.
“All right, I’ll just turn around”, Tony said without managing to hide a smirk. He smiled to himself at the thought of seeing Steve’s body. The blond stripped, pulling off his shirt over his head and chucking it into his locker and flexed a little, having the feeling that he was being watched. With a small stretch, he reached over for his football shirt and padding, putting them on. The padding made his shoulders look even broader than they already were, he was muscular and built and the pads made him look even larger. American football wasn’t one of his favourite sports to participate in, but he certainly was ready for it.
The shorter boy got ready himself and turned around to see that Steve was already dressed up. He breathed heavily as he noticed his shoulders. Steve was standing right in front of him, more built and muscular than ever. Tony shook his head confused. The boy managed to annoy him all day long and fascinate him at the same time. Looking at his fine body structure right now didn’t help either. He recalled their conversation earlier today, about dating. Could I ever be with this guy? Tony suddenly thought. He didn’t realize that the thought made him blush a bit.
Steve looked over at Tony, placing his hands on his own slim waist. “You done changing yet?” He asked, though he truly didn’t mind whether he was done changing or not, at least he’d get a sneak peek. Then he stopped for a moment, what am I thinking?! Staring at other guys, I’ve never done this before, what am I doing? What’s wrong with me? I have a girlfriend! He was internally yelling at himself for even considering such things, getting ‘sneak peeks’ at other peoples bodies. No, he wasn’t supposed to be like that. Maybe during the short time that they had spent together, Stark was rubbing off on him, and this was definitely not a good thing. The last thing he wanted was for his mind to be tainted by some silver-spoon-fed billionaire with an attitude problem. He slipped on his trainers and stretched again, trying to adjust to the lumps of padding that were restricting his movement.
